Marco Strogusch

Marco has over 25 years of experience in investment banking with a focus on consumer goods (FMCG), food & retail and industrial products & services. Prior to founding hillstreet, he worked for IMAP, Commerzbank and Hauck Aufhäuser Lampe.

Marco provides comprehensive advice on the sale of companies (sell-side) and the acquisition of companies (buy-side). He has many years of experience and has successfully advised on numerous transactions for leading private equity firms, medium-sized companies and large corporations.

What sets Marco apart is his professional approach, coupled with a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach and absolute reliability. His aim is to help his clients achieve their strategic and personal objectives. In doing so, Marco places great emphasis on building trusting relationships.

With energy, creativity, a good sense of humor and the necessary composure, he brings out the best in every project.

Marco lives near Frankfurt with his wife, four children and one dog. He enjoys spending time with his family and has a passion for music, skiing and hockey. Marco is also an avid reader and a listener of podcasts and audiobooks.

Markus Wenzel

Markus has over 25 years of M&A and investment experience.

Markus focuses on classic German medium-sized companies in traditional sectors, industry and services, healthcare and consumer goods and supports entrepreneurs and companies in finding succession solutions or the best owner.

With a total of around 100 completed transactions on the buy/sell side and as an investor, Markus is able to cover all aspects of the M&A process and ensure optimal solutions. He never loses sight of the personal aspect and can offer private entrepreneurs in particular the support they need in M&A processes.

After studying economics in Frankfurt and completing a Master’s degree in Stockholm, Markus worked for almost 10 years in the mid-large cap sector at Arthur Andersen and BNP Paribas in M&A and project finance, before focusing on entrepreneur-led German SMEs as a Managing Director at Lampe Corporate Finance. Since 2014, he has focused on buy and build topics, including own investments in the consumer goods and healthcare sectors, before co-founding hillstreet advisory partners GmbH together with Marco Strogusch in 2024.

Markus enjoys his private life with his wife, two children, dog and horse in Frankfurt, when he is not on the Dutch North Sea coast or in the mountains skiing or occasionally playing tennis.
